Tapicker Bridge
Tapicker Bridge lets an external program or AI agent control a Tapicker Extension. It can start, pause, resume, and stop Workflows, read or delete extracted data, and receive Workflow status updates.
The Bridge does not run browser automation itself. Your browser and the Tapicker Extension do the work; the Bridge routes requests to a connected Extension.
What Is Tapicker Bridge?
Bridge is a Node.js service that exposes a command-line interface, an HTTP API, and MCP tools on one port. It can run on the same computer as your browser or on a remote server.
Use it when you want to:
- trigger an existing Tapicker Workflow from a script or terminal;
- let an AI agent discover and call Tapicker tools through MCP;
- integrate Tapicker with a service using HTTP;
- monitor a long-running Workflow without repeatedly polling its status.

Tapicker Bridge ─── WebSocket ─── Tapicker Extension ─── Browser
The Bridge can connect to multiple Extensions. If exactly one ready Extension is connected, commands can select it automatically. If more than one is ready, specify the target Extension's clientId to avoid sending a command to the wrong browser.
Before You Begin
- Node.js 22 or later
- A supported browser with the Tapicker Extension installed
- A Workflow you want to run (or an AI agent that supports MCP/HTTP)
Next Steps
Follow the Getting Started guide to install Bridge, pair your Extension, and run your first Workflow.
